By plane
From Milan Malpensa Airport (16 miles – 25 km as the crow flies far from town of Varese):

Take Malpensa Express operated by Trenord railway line.
The Malpensa Express service links Milan Malpensa Airport with Varese (Terminal 1, basement level) with 1 or 2 trains per hour, duration 60-75 minutes approx for arriving to Varese.
You have to write in timetable: from “MALPENSA AEROPORTO” and to “VARESE NORD”: http://www.trenord.it/en/timetable/timetable.aspx
Take the Malpensa Express train directed to “SARONNO” rail station. From here change train and proceed towards “VARESE NORD” rail station.
There is a underground passage with steps at“SARONNO” rail station and another one at “VARESE NORD” rail station.
Ticket validation: compulsory before getting in the train, validate ticket at ticket validating machines in stations. Validation is not required for online ticket.
Avoid the departures with yellow square sign of danger on timetable, because there aren’t easy changes.

Take the bus line 73 (Linate Airport – San Babila) continue your ride for eight stops and get off the bus at crossroad VIALE CAMPANIA / VIALE CORSICA (four stops after a tunnel). Turn on the left onto VIALE MUGELLO. After 300 meters ( 330 yards) you get to the Milan Porta Vittoria rail station.
The ticket is 1,50 euro. It’s possible to pay bus ticket on board with coins.
Milan Porta Vittoria is an underground railway station (there are steps). It’s part of the Milan Passante railway. From here you take the train operated by Trenitalia railway line directed to Varese.

Travelling with your bike
On all the domestic trains (from Milan to Varese) you can carry your bike for free in the appropriate case. There is no extra ticket for your own bike (one bike for each person), if it's packaged in case / bike bag (centimetres 80*110*40). It's considered hand luggage.
You can carry your bike also on some international trains. The ticket is 12 euro.

It isn't possible to take your bike by local bus (in Varese or in Milan). It’s possible only by taxi.
However is possible to take you bike by shuttle service:
maximum 6 persons to pay directly to the driver (if there is a person or two person is the same):
• from Milan Malpensa Airpor to hotel: Euro 90
• from Milan Linate Airport to hotel: Euro 165

By train
In Varese there are two main rail stations:
“VARESE NORD” station (blue icon on Google Maps) belonging to Trenord railway line:

From Milan Piazzale Cadorna rail station:

The Underground line 2 (called green line also) links Cadorna rail station, Milano Centrale rail station and Milano Porta Garibaldi rail station.
By shuttle service without bikes

• from Milan Malpensa Airpor t to hotel: Euro 70
• from Milan Linate Airport to hotel: Euro 130

By bus
Once arrived at “VARESE NORD” rail station (belonging to Trenord railway line) or at “VARESE” rail station (belonging to Trenitalia railway line) you take the bus line E in VIA ORRIGONI (black icon on Google Maps) directed to BIZZOZERO, every 15 minutes approx (on the bus there is the sign “E – BIZZOZERO”). “VARESE NORD” rail station is 650 meters away from bus stop, and there is a underground passage with steps.
“VARESE” rail station is 200 meters away from bus stop.
The ticket is 1,40 euro. It’s possible to pay bus ticket on board with coins (only 1 Euro, 10 cents or 20 cents coins).
Get off the bus at the fifth stop BORRI - BUENOS AIRES (approx 1300 metres - 1400 yards). It’s the next stop after a ENI-AGIP petrol station (on the right hand side), the Varese hospital (on the left hand side) and a traffic light.
At the bus stop go straight for 100 metres. The hotel is on the right hand side.
By taxi
You will find them waiting in front of the Varese rail stations (Taxi Varese, phone +39 0332 241 800)
By car
Take the free-way A8 directed to Varese. Exit Varese centre. At traffic light turn on the right and immediately turn on the right again. Go straight for 900 metres - 990 yards (you have to pass two traffic light). Eco Bike Hotel Ungheria is on the right hand side.
