Easy relaxing cycling in Northern Italy’s Lake District

Easy and fun rides during which there’s plenty of time to take a break or a photo or to have a chat and enjoy a coffee. Naturally you also tackle a few and short climbs, but at your own pace and sometimes even on foot . . . What you need to know is you will be cycling for about 4/5 hours.

The routes cross both flat and hillier areas, with some slightly longer climbs that alternate with delightful descents. Ideal for “fair-weather” cyclists with normal levels of fitness and training.
Views across the Prealps, Alps, the Mount Rosa Massif (the second highest mountain after Mont Blanc) and northern Italy’s lakes. Eleven lakes of different sizes surround Varese.

A guest of ours said:
“I like pedalling along peacefully without bothering too much about speed or distance. I can do a few climbs if I have to, but at my own pace, and I don’t mind about getting off and pushing my bike to the top.
I can cover anything from 40 to 60 km (from 25 to 40 miles), but without staining myself too much, stopping quite often to admire the scenery and enjoy all the fine features of the countryside”
